Time to Celebrate Their Snowy Birthdays and Reminisce

Feb. 1, 1984 when Ryan made us parents, at last!  He was two weeks overdue and I was past ready to meet him.

Feb. 2, 1987 - Amy arrived around 6 p.m. She was due on Valentine's Day, but chose Groundhog day instead to meet and bless us. I was so glad she was early instead of late like Ryan was.

Grandma TJ always came on the train to celebrate their birthdays with us - 1988.

Their birthdays often involved snow "fun" ???  This was in VA.  This year they're both getting to enjoy the blizzard and some fun in the snow for Ryan and family skiing at Massanutten on his birthday.

Of course Dad and Mom often were part of the picture!

More fun in the snow at Copper Mountain - our last trip there together, 2005

Amy n Ryan's birthday party at SVA's student center . . . who knew!?

I've always loved this picture taken in Toronto's Nathan Phillips Square ice rink.  We played a lot in the snow and on ice during their growing up years, and right through college.

Grandma TJ loved ice skating from her growing up years too, and was an amazing skater, who was actually scouted by the Ice Capades recruiter when she was living in Indianapolis.  She didn't take him up on his offer to try out due to Sabbath conflict.

1993 birthday party in Oshawa for their 6th and 9th birthdays - same age as Claire n Easton now.

Such cuties!  Amy's 3rd birthday cookie. The tradition continued for years, long as they were home for their birthdays.  I would love to make them again if you'll come home to celebrate. Good ole' oatmeal chocolate chip, Renee's recipe.

You never have to figure out which birthday they were celebrating this way.

Did you get a birthday grapefruit this year, Ryan? . . .

You did on your 21st birthday!

Amy showing piano interest before she was even 3.  This is the picture I shared on FB for your birthday this year.

Your last year on the Holtzman Oil little league team in New Market, 1997. I shared this on your BD on FB.
