Mom 'n Coleman Kill Two Birds with One Stone!

Now when Mom comes to town, she gets to see BOTH of us old birds  ;)

Out on the boat Sunday

This is what the sky looked like that we defied as we headed up the river.  We didn't get rained on either, except for a couple drops.

Alone on the water, waiting for Randy to get the boat trailer at Harrison Bay State Park

Sure was a fun weekend - it just went too fast.  We tried to convince them to stay longer.

Back on the Water at Last

This evening we went out for a ride and packed a picnic supper.  It was a lovely day, with smooth water.  We had to keep moving to stay cool enough though.

It ran well, but we didn't shut it off to try our luck at it starting again till we got back to the dock.  And we were glad we made that choice, since it didn't start.  So we  had the battery checked on the way home and bought a new battery for it.  Hopefully that will solve our problem.  Randy starts school Monday so we won't have as much opportunity to get out - maybe Sunday though.  We really want it to be working next weekend when Mom and Coleman are here.  Otherwise, they would be wise to bring a paddle along ;)

Fish Family Reunion Time

The Fish Reunion was at the Cumberland First Presbyterian Church in Chattanooga - a gorgeous sanctuary.  There had been a wedding there Fri. night so the silk flower petals were still spread around and candles, etc.

Heather Peel played the pipe organ for church, and she played our wedding recessional for the postlude, "Toccata" by Widor!  It's quite a difficult piece.  She's an organ performance major at Southern and will graduate in Dec. of 2015.  It hardly seems possible.  I remember too clearly when she was taking flute lessons from Amy as a little girl!

Look who fell asleep during church

The 8 Fish siblings from oldest to youngest

It was so nice spending time with my nephews and family.

Randy had fun playing with Maddy, and vice versa

Gerald taught the "Fish choir" a piece that they sang for vespers.  There is so much musical talent in the Fish family.
I love hearing them.

John videoed the Talent Show's best performance . . . Jeff and Andrew did "Who's on First." The first time they did it was at Broadview Academy their Junior year.  They've done it at Camp AuSable when they were both on the staff and at the Pathfinder Camporee one year.  It had been five years since they did it so it wasn't exactly by the book, but it was still hilarious!  Great job.

Randy played a hymn arrangement on his classical guitar - lovely!

Nathan enjoying strumming a few strings - start 'em early!

It was so much fun playing Settlers of Catan Sunday afternoon, except John won both games. . .
