A Carport for Christmas

The Casita has a roof over it's head now!  A week ago today, Dec. 12,  we had this carport put up that's 12 ft. high.

It also covers the wood pile.

This hard wood Randy will split and stack back under on the palates this winter, and then it will be easier getting the trailer in and out.  It was unbelievably tight wiggling it back in.

He even put his recently re-furbished utility trailer under cover.  He's pleased as punch!

Sharing Time at our Feeders

We have so many cardinals in our yard.  I love it.

And a fair number of these too.

They are quite the acrobats.  This seems to be their favorite way to eat my sunflower seeds.

I wished him a Merry Christmas while he ate and I took pictures from inside, just before I took my pot and metal spoon out on the deck and drummed away.  That's all that I have found chases them away, at least for awhile.

December Means Heavenly Music!

Saturday night, Dec. 7, we sat on the second row at SAU's Woodwinds Christmas program.  Three other groups also performed - the bell choir, steel drum choir, and jazz band.  It was very enjoyable as always, and great Christmas music.

Sun. evening, Dec. 8, we enjoyed the academy's Christmas concert with the orchestra and all 3 choirs.  The new director roomed with Greg, the band and orchestra director, and they work together very well.

Tues. night, Dec. 17, we took Mom with us to enjoy Randy's favorite concert of the season, by the Metropolitan Bells.  We would have heard them the week before too except the weather wasn't nice to go out in so we stayed home.  Then on Fri. night, Dec. 13, we had planned to enjoy my favorite concert of the season, the Roueche Chorale & Orchestra's Candlelight Service, but I ended up with a fever for three days so we missed it.  We were able to live stream SAU's choir and orchestra concert on Sabbath, Dec. 14 at least.  It was excellent.  Tomorrow night we'll be enjoying Kelly Mower's concert with Mom and Ruthie over at Greenbriar Cove.  Tis the season!  We LOVE it.
