Our Visit to Greeneville with the Smiths

Connie and Roger on Kimberly's deck Sabbath after church

Grandpa and Oliver

Amelia, Oliver, Roger and Connie

This is a dress Connie and Kimberly wore that Connie's mom made.

The Shumaker family

Kim and James have a nice place on 3.5 acres out in the country with a lovely view perched up on this great sledding hill.

Painted Creek where we took a walk Sabbath afternoon

This picture helps explain the need for hats and gloves!

Roger and Randy are always up to something and veering off the straight and narrow  ;)

Queen of her new kitchen - and did she ever make delicious meals for us!

Randy took these last seven pictures Sunday on our walk right out their front door on BuckBoard Road.  What gorgeous and tranquil countryside for a daily walk.  The second picture is what they see out their front window.  Maybe two cars went by on our 2.1 mile walk.

These last couple of pictures show the mountain range behind their house - imagine looking out at that from your kitchen window!  It's so nice living just 3 hours from them instead of 11.  It was great to see my cousin, Karin Small and her family at the Greeneville SDA Church Sabbath.

Easton & Jordan Prize Pictures

Jaclyn & Carrie had fun with this photo shoot of their little guys last weekend.

Easton is 13 weeks, and Jordan is 8 weeks in these taken on January 3.
Can you imagine the fun they'll have together growing up!

Carrie made their onesies.  I love the hats!

Ice fishing at an early age!

That's MY grandson!

And here he is again!

Who can look at these guys without smiling!  Carrie says they should have been named Sven and Ole, only she hopes they are smarter!  So I Googled Sven and Ole and found  Sven & Ole jokes are popular in the upper midwest, especially in Minnesota and other regions settled by Scandinavians.  They are a couple of old farmers, and they aren’t too bright. If you are Swedish, Sven and Ole are Norwegian. And if you are Norwegian… well, then, they are Swedish, don’t you know?

A Visit with Fords & Powells with Easton & Claire

We drove to Calhoun to visit Claire's grandma and aunt, and then went on to Fords in Cumming,  north of Atlanta, last Thursday, Jan. 1.  It was our first visit to their new home.

Sharing the sleeping beauty one last time before they flew out of the Atlanta airport Friday at 11.  Being just an hour away from the airport made departure morning easier time-wise, but saying good-bye was still rough.

Claire is ready to roll.  She asked me where we were going to fly to. ;)

He'd been asleep and woke up just before I took this to all the traffic noise at the airport departure area.

Getting it all together so the two of them could get it to the baggage check area.

I decided to lend a hand to get them across the street at least rather than videoing which I had hoped to do.  Ryan was trying to push/pull two large suitcases, and push the stroller with a carseat hanging over one handle, not to mention two backpacks. HELP!  Carrie had a suitcase, carseat, backpack, and Easton as her entourage!

Back at the Ford ranch we taught them a new game Friday afternoon, Iota.  Andy was a mean player - he saw the greatest plays so fast!  Impressive - oh to have the mind of an engineer!
The next 3 pictures are Ken's.  We enjoyed a delicious spaghetti and meatballs dinner when we arrived.

Thanks for the invitation to spend some time together.  We loved it.  It was so good seeing Stephanie and Andy again at last as well.
