Junior-Senior Banquet at the Mill

Us at Junior Senior Banquet tonight at The Mill of Chattanooga - do you recognize Randy's tie and my dress, Ryan and Carrie? It was springtime a few years back that we wore them to a big event in your life!

After the event ended, I decided to take a picture of the venue - the lovely flower arrangements and pretty table cloths were off already.  The meal was served buffet style and was good food that it seemed was appreciated by most.  My favorite part of the meal was the bruschetti and fresh fruit.

Junior class officers after it was over popping the helium balloons they spent a couple hours filling earlier today that lined the hall as you walked in.  Somebody finally found good use for spike heels - see the one about to kill the green balloon?  Randy spent about 6 hours today on the event helping out as a Junior class sponsor.  It was nice to drive in with another sponsor's wife just in time for it to begin at 6.  The theme was "spring fling."

Amy's house - the day before they move in!

Here is our living room with fire place, tobacco Amish barn wood stand that Jeremy and I purchased on our Honeymoon in WV at the Apple Butter festival and our outhouse!  Does it look any different from the last pictures?

This is the Entertainment room.  The desk we also found at the ReUzit shop in PA.  And... those are the curtains that I made around Christmas.

The medal hardware was hand made to order from our neighbor Matt Harris.  He is a metal smith and has his own business in Perryville.  He made all of the metal work in the house for us.  Jeremy surprised me with them for my Birthday in February.  Pretty special!!!

The guest bedroom with curtains and the majority of it's furniture.  We'll be putting the mattress in tomorrow after Jeremy and I sleep on it for the last time in Terri and Jerry's House.  :)  Moving day is tomorrow!!!!!!!  WAHOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!  By tomorrow night our guest bedroom will be fully furnished and complete!!!
My stove just waiting to cook our first meal.

My Kitchen!!!  By tomorrow night it will be "lived in" :-D

The dining room area...

This furniture was a miracle that Jeremy found yesterday in PA.   I had no idea he was out hunting for it yesterday.  I was completely shocked when I came home from work yesterday afternoon.  We an awesome surprise!!!  My dresser and matching top mirror.  I can't wait to move into it tomorrow.  Soooo exciting!!!!!!

Here is a shot of our mantel over the fireplace.  This is a piece of drift wood that Jeremy found and brought home from the river.  It was twice this long!  He cut it to size with chain saw and chiseled out under neath with the saw as well so it could be mounted.

Our front door, ready and waiting for us to move in,,,  TOMORROW!!!  We can't wait :)

Special Friends 'n Family Visit Us

It was great seeing Ken n Renee again - they came for SonRise and stayed Fri. night with us.

Sabbath birthday supper last weekend for Karen with Breetzke's

Brian ran away with the Settlers game.

Another Karen had a birthday last weekend on Sunday, but I finally caught up to her on Tues. evening when we went downtown for a tasty meal at Sluggo's.  Looks like we talked about what to wear before we got together!

SonRise - He is Risen!

A former CA Shop teacher (David James) playing a leper at SonRise

Claire would have enjoyed all the animals. . .

. . .  except maybe not this scary looking, slobbery guy!

My favorite of the animals - wish I could have held him!

Even this little black sheep was adorable - just like God sees His "black sheep"

Amy - this picture is for your walk down memory lane.  The dancing girls were beside Thatcher but then danced through the people up to where you performed a few years ago, and joined up with more girls there.

Our current shop teacher with his granddaughter

Shopkeepers along the streets of "Jerusalem" set up along the promenade

the "dancing girls"

One of our current students in the green robe at the front (Mathilda Nafie), and her sister Mary Ann, who graduated a few years ago.

Two more CA graduates in another "shop"

Jesus talking to the children after riding the donkey on His way to the Last Supper scene

We had to skip two scenes to be available to help at 2:30 with the drinks served - so we missed Gethsemane and the Judgment Hall scene at Wright Hall.  The group ahead of us that we caught up with had Joe Mixon, who graduated last year from CA, as Jesus.  This is the most moving scene of the entire thing for me. ( It was raining on us the entire way through, so we were thankful for an umbrella.)
Taking Jesus' body to the gym for the resurrection scene.

In re-reading the closing scenes of Jesus' life in the Desire of Ages this weekend, here are a few things that jumped out at me:  "The disciple of Christ who in our day disguises his faith through dread of suffering or reproach denies his Lord as really as did Peter in the judgment hall."  -p. 712 -

"From insult to renewed insult, from mockery to mockery, twice tortured by the scourge,--all that night there had been scene after scene of a character to try the soul of man to the uttermost.  Christ had not failed.  He had spoken no word but that tended to glorify God.  All through the disgraceful farce of a trial He had borne Himself with firmness and dignity." p. 742   WOW, what an example to me, through the storms of life.

"That voice (the voice of Christ) will penetrate the graves and unbar the tombs, and the dead in Christ shall arise.  At the Saviour's resurrection a few graves were opened, but at His second coming all the precious dead shall hear His voice, and shall come forth to glorious, immortal life.  The same power that raised Christ from the dead will raise His church, and glorify it with Him, above all principalities, above all powers, above every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in the world to come."  p. 787

AMEN!  Even so, come Lord Jesus!  I can't wait to see him and be reunited with loved ones who have gone to sleep in Jesus.  I truly believe this old world's days are numbered.  Praise God!
