Boating Moments, SAU Promenade Tour, Amigos Dinner, etc.

We headed out on the boat Fri. afternoon when Randy got home from school.  It was a gorgeous day and it was Ryan and family's first time on the boat this summer.  (I borrowed several of Carrie's great pictures in this blog post like this family selfie.)
We had just left the no wake zone when the alarm went off, alerting us to the HOT temperature of the engine.  It was up to 240 degrees and usually runs at 140. Fortunately, Randy replaced it before on this boat and had ordered a spare for the next time.  This nice fisherman pulled the boat onto the trailer after the pontoon towed us to the dock.

On Sabbath I said something to Claire about Grandpa fixing the boat Sun. morning so we could go out boating Sunday afternoon.  She said, "We already went boating."  She thought our little trip to the end of the No Wake zone and getting towed back was it for the weekend.

The first thing we did Sunday was all jump in to cool off!   It was a record breaking temperature day - it hit 97 degrees on Sept. 25!

There it is - you stand on it without your feet in any bindings and ride.

I loved the Dutch braids Carrie put in Claire's hair.

It was so much fun having them out on the boat with us at last before the boating season ends.

Sun. evening view from the island at Island Cove Marina.

Amigos Mexican Restaurant  - after we ate we went out on the deck and threw left over tortillas down to the fish below, and then walked out onto the island.  The sky was glowing from a beautiful sunset.

We had dinner Sunday evening together at Amigos on Harrison Bay - a favorite restaurant of ours.

Creative Discovery Museum and More

Look who came to visit for SVA's first home leave!  They arrived Wed. night about 10.  Thurs. morning after I made a green smoothie, Claire asked if she could make one like she did on a previous visit, so I gave her some spices and food coloring and voila!  She couldn't find any takers for hers.

Easton and Claire played in the driveway on Thurs. morning awhile, Sept. 22.  He sure does move on his little balance bike.

She went that-a-way?

Claire scoots right along for her preferred mode of getting around.

For Easton's 2nd birthday we took him to the Creative Discovery Museum on Thursday, one week before his actual birthday.  The water tables were his favorite.

This was on the rooftop terrace - a big pool of bubble solution with wands for making bubbles.

She loved the creative corner where she cut and glued with recycled materials for a long time

We had his birthday supper Thurs. night.

The new outfit I got her at the Consignment Sale at Camp Jordan we went to after the museum.
