Lori & Dan Bring Home Ethan's Baby Sister!

Ethan has a sister!

Lori & Dan have a daughter, and Karen has a granddaughter!

Emily Renae was born Thurs. night, Feb. 4. She was 8 lbs. 10 oz. and 20 inches long.

Dan playing with Ethan - apparently they have a picture of Ethan as a baby asleep on Dan's arm in this position.

We stopped by to see her yesterday evening shortly after she'd gotten home from the hospital. What a doll she is. How nice that Nanna (Karen) can be here from Maine to help out for awhile. We goofed when we didn't get her picture with Emily yesterday.

#26 for Ryan!

It was wonderful having Ryan home last weekend (the snow storm in NC kept Carrie from joining us here) to celebrate his Feb. 1 birthday. I've been making birthday cookies for him for 20-some years, once I got over the "need" to make fancy birthday cakes, all gussied up, just to be destroyed by the stroke of a knife and eager munchkins around the birthday table. He hasn't asked for a birthday cake yet -he seems to love the cookie. This year we got some So Delicious Dairy Free Mint Marble Fudge "ice cream" to go with the oatmeal carob chip cookie. Yum!

How old are you, Ryan!???

We were glad that at least Stephanie was here to celebrate with us. What happened to the rest of you who used to come over for his birthday?!*!*??? We missed you.

Snowball fight between the "kids" Sabbath afternoon

The tree down on our street that took our power down for 10 hours Sabbath, forcing us to be unplugged and just enjoy reading and each other - what a blessing. Church was canceled due to the weather too.

Parting shot as Ryan was about to head for home. The snow came at the right time in some ways - it gave Ryan Friday off school, so he came down Thurs. night before the storm hit. We got more snow in Chattanooga than has happened since 1996. Our total was about 5 or 6 inches. And we didn't even get ONE snow day, due to the timing of its arrival. Ryan got FOUR snow days out of it up in Sumner County, north of Nashville.

Have to post some pictures of Friday afternoon fun in the snow here too.

Eric had fun sliding around

Jenna showed up and loved the hockey game!
Aha - she got it!
