Boating with Anne and Kids - Aug. 12, 2018

Look who came to go boating!  It finally stopped with the high rain chance forecast so we had a great time Sunday.

It's not common to choose when we head to the dock, rather than having thunder and clouds chase us in!  It was growling tummies that took us home Sunday.

Dollywood with Anne's Family

Randy and I drove over Sunday to Pigeon Forge with our trailer and went to all the shows and fireworks.  Then Monday and Tues. we went with Anne and kids - taking in mostly rides.  Ollie HAD to go on the train - and since somebody had to take pictures, it might as well have been us!

Ollie donated $1 at the Birds of Prey show and loved watching the bird take it and put it in the donation box.

They've put up this new shady spot by the train - and the shade was appreciated this week Mon. and Tues.  It was low 90's and steamy both days.

Randy and I caught the end of the summer festival fireworks Sunday night.  They were great, even though only 10 minutes.

The second best ride in the park in my opinion - close behind the Wild Eagle that Heather and I enjoyed.  All 7 of us went on two of the water rides to cool off.  The most fun was Daredevil Falls - what a drop and huge splash it puts up.  And all of us but Randy went on the 3rd water ride that was like a log but went swishing down and around a long water slide before the bottom drop.  We didn't get very wet at all on that one.  I got so wet between the three rides on Monday that my shorts and top were still wet today when we got home!  The bumper cars were fun for us all too.
