Three Snow Days - Great for Bird Watching

We've had so much fun lately bird watching in our yard.  Sharing the feeder - very unusual for the tufted titmouse, who seems very nervous at the feeders.  This is our newest feeder we got on half price sale at Ace recently.  No squirrels have even attempted it.

The gold finch at peace - whenever on the thistle feeders they have a lot of competition.

It's so nice having the finches in our yard - by the dozens literally.  We waited for them for years.  Seems moving the thistle feeders from the back deck to the side yard by the trees and rock garden made the difference, as well as cleaning out the old thistle and putting in fresh.

Almost lost that sunflower seed - see it hanging out of his beak?

A cute little junco eating the thistle droppings that show up better on the snow!

This brown thrasher is big compared to most of our visitors.

Colorful little purple finch caught munching!

These black capped chickadees are so cute and will peacefully perch on the feeder just outside our window for a long time.

Lonely little mourning dove

Carrie, what kind of sparrow is this?

We have yet to get a good picture of our woodpecker.  He's always behind branches or the suet feeder.

Ya' don't say!

What our yard looked like this morning.  More snow is in the forecast for tomorrow - up to 6 inches!

Poor snowy Casita. . . needs a blanket or roof over its head we think.  More money   :(

We're burning up a lot of wood this winter, but not around the fire pit.

Just chillin'

Nice pose Mrs. Cardinal

Randy caught him before he flew for a nice change!

We seldom have blue birds in our yard but somebody told them we have some tasty feed out apparently.  So beautiful.

Mom & Coleman Stop in for Valentine's Weekend

It was great having Mom and Coleman here three days with us on their way to Florida.

I wanted Mom to meet Hazel, in charge of the quilting group I joined, so I took her by when I dropped off the quilt I completed this week.

Another puzzle from the Samaritan Center completed of the pile Ruthie & Milton brought home to check to see if all the pieces were included.

Milton & Mom finished it Sabbath afternoon - they thought there was one piece missing till Milton got down on all fours looking around the floor and found the lost piece under MY foot under the table - no, I didn't do it intentionally.

Notice how there are 3 different sizes of puzzle pieces - strange.  You might guess which part took the longest!  I even helped a little with this one, if you can believe it - and NOT the big pieces part.

Another fun Saturday night at Ruthie's

Me 'n my Valentine!

Our New Little House/Casita!

Tom and Angie who we bought our 2012 Casita from.  We were thankful to find this 2-year old immaculately kept Casita with all the options just 90 miles away!

It's nice to have a trailer again, after 2 1/2 mos. without one.

This view makes it look a LOT bigger than it is.

We like having an extra dinette that will enable us to leave the bed made up and still have a place to eat.  Our other Casita didn't have that.

Behind the door with the mirror is our little bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet.

There is a microwave above the fridge, and we have a 2-burner stove.

The bathroom!
