September Quilts, Puzzles, Anniversary Outing, etc.

Mom keeps up with her friends with letters that she loves getting and answers them faithfully.  She also checks FB regularly.

We managed to get in our 4th outing of the summer one perfect weekday afternoon.

Randy takes better pictures when he's driving the boat than I do.

Some of the nice "little" houses along the water

Saturday night entertainment . . . notice the last 3 columns of scores below. . . See the 0 final score??? He tromped us!

Apple Valley Orchard's Jonathan apples made some yummy applesauce, a week sooner this year than last.  Usually we're making it right around our anniversary.  Three bushels worth, in the freezer!

Friday lunch at the Cracker Barrel - waiting patiently for our yummy meals.  Mom got down to TWO!

Randy and I BOTH enjoy doing the 300 piece puzzles with Mom.

Evensong with Josh Knight at the organ last Sabbath evening.  Right down my alley.

A Sunday morning bike ride.  A friend comes over to be with Mom and we get in about 17 miles.  We need to stay acclimated to the bike seat since we'll be on it a LOT in October on the GAP and C n O Towpath trails.

One puzzle we gave up on after getting nowhere.  We're giving it back to Connie, my super puzzling friend.  It may be just 300 pieces, but trying to get the edge put together even was not worth it since we have about 8 more appealing puzzles waiting for us to put them together.

Another scrappy quilt I put together this month.

Several missing pieces

So glad this one was all there.  Somebody will buy it and love it.

Soaking up some Vit. D on the deck.  We've had so much sunshine the last week or two - glad to leave the rainy spell behind finally.

We had our anniversary lunch (chili and cornbread) in our screened in porch, watching the pavers work down below on the driveway.

Our anniversary evening entertainment

At Tony's Pasta Shop in the Bluffview District - he had an eggplant parmesan sandwich with marinara, minus the cheese.

I had roasted vegetable panini on focaccia bread, and Mom enjoyed her fettucine alfredo.

Our Labor Day puzzle was called "Labor Day in Bungalowville" and it was all there.  My favorite puzzle in awhile.
