Ryan's Crown, Boating, Applesauce, Outdoor Church, Dinner with Friends, School starts

First day of school at SVAE up in New Market, VA for Claire (3rd grade) and Easton (Kindergarten)

Boating on Sunday, Aug. 30 when Ryan came home to get his permanent crown from Dr. Otis.  It was a quick trip - arrived Sabbath evening, and left Mon. noon after the procedure was completed.

This picture is very deceptive - notice no boats are in the picture.  As soon as he was up, he had lots of boats to stir up his water.  Typical Sunday at the lake - that's why it was our first time out on a Sun. this summer.

Amigos lunch after boating

Leaving for his dentist appointment and then return home

We went boating with Mom, Ruthie n Milt on Thursday, Sept. 3.

I brought these cute salt shakers home from the Cracker Barrel where we ate after boating.

Sabbath morning, Sept. 5, at Goliath Wall Connect church service.  The humidity moved out and it was heavenly!  Kris Ekenroth delivered an excellent sermon, as always.  Mom and Ruthie came for their first time.

Mom always enjoys connecting with Holly Gadd, a cousin on the Ford side of the family.
Sabbath dinner at Johnsons - with plenty of social distancing.

Don and Randy enjoyed "chewing the fat" long after dinner was over.  Susie and I went out on the screened in porch to visit.

Fri. morning we sauced a bushel of our Cortland apples that we picked up the day before, but they weren't very sweet.  So we put the remaining apples out in the sun for two days to mellow, and Sun. morning (today) we did two more bushels and put a bushel in the fridge to eat fresh or whatever.  We prefer Jonathan's pink color and flavor - we won't do TN Cortland again.

The canning kitchen is nice for this job

We've made good use of our Victorio Strainer for making applesauce over our 45 years of marriage. It was a wedding gift.
