Driveway/Carport Undertaking

The guy decided he wanted to park the motorhome on the far side of the carport, so we moved the wood pile to the side closest to the garage.  Of course the two days we did that were extremely hot and humid.

One friend who saw the woodpile said, "Are you expecting a super cold winter?"

Here he is after carving away a line that will be the edge of the new asphalt to be put down in early September.  Beyond that line we are putting gravel down where we'll be turning the MH around.  It has broken up the asphalt where he cranks it hard to turn it.  So this week he's digging out the asphalt with a tractor he rented from Home Depot.  And then he'll put down a ground fabric, and 3 kinds of gravel over that - a total of 12 inches worth.  By the weekend we hope that part will be all done, assuming they deliver the gravel when he wants it.
