One Last Visit to Gibbs Gardens

Our passes to Gibbs Gardens expire in early September, so we wanted to make one more trip to enjoy the crepe myrtles, water lilies and roses in full bloom now.  So we went Sabbath morning, July 31, for our shortest visit ever, just one hour, from 10 to 11.  It was rather warmish even that early with the 85 degrees and high humidity.  Many of the pictures were taken by Randy, like the one above.

My favorite of Randy's many picture attempts to get this butterfly

Breath taking!

It doesn't get much better than this!

The rose arbor behind us had a few white roses on it.

The Manor where the owner lives.

Wish this was what my front yard looked like!

These are called naked ladies - such a delicate pink.  I was given some bulbs by Jeremy's grandma a few years ago and they never produced these beautiful blooms.  I got the green leaves that come up first, but nothing else. Again this year, a bulb that hadn't been dug up produced the green leaves, but nothing more.  They just die off and then no flower follows.

It's hard to sort out the reflection from the actual plants and shrubs!
