Point Park Free Entrance for Old Fogies

Friday afternoon we went up on Lookout Mountain to buy Randy's senior pass to the National Parks for $10 before the rate jumps to $80.  And so now we get in free to this Civil War site.  We gladly wandered around till the skies opened up.

From what I read, the Confederates scored a big loss to the Union soldiers.  In one battle, 900 of 1500 Confederate soldiers were killed.

Does he look like an "almost retiree"???  Not a chance, but he's about 3 1/2 weeks away from turning in his keys.  He only has to go in the day after graduation, May 22, and then it's ALL OVER at CA for him.  He's been working hard clearing out his department and will be through with that job by the end of this week.  We're going camping to celebrate!!!
