Day 3 - at Sea

This day's post should be a quickie since we didn't get our camera out much today - which is a GOOD thing since for part of it I was in a bathing suit around the pool!
So was Randy for an hour, only in the SHADE nearby of course. He might melt!Note the gorgeous Caribbean sky and sea in the background.
We were blessed with crystal clear skies and sunshine every day.

We found another cute towel creation waiting for us with our chocolate mints and Carnival Capers agenda for the next day. Notice the neatly turned-back covers as well.

The room stewards didn't miss a beat. We sure do miss their services - having to make our own bed and clean our own bathrooms, etc. etc. etc. just isn't any fun this week.
Tuesday morning we went to a travel & adventure talk that had information on Grand Cayman and Costa Maya's shore excursions. That night we went to a juggler and comedian show in the Venetian Palace, which wasn't as good as what we saw on the Veendam. The juggler apparently wasn't that good, since he spent about half his stage time trying to be funny. (We took the camera, but then learned we couldn't take any pictures during the show so once the curtain was opened, we took no more - thus the exciting picture above.) The show on Monday night was by the ship's dancers/singers and was excellent. The new dancing crew was also on our cruise (to replace the others who were leaving at the end of the cruise for their vacation, after working 8 months) and so we saw their show Thurs. night and it was NOT the same caliber as Monday's, which we even stayed to enjoy twice. We skipped the late night Mexican buffet from 11:30 to 1 a.m.! Can you imagine eating Mexican food at that hour? Neither could we. A chocolate/dessert buffet - yes, maybe, as we did on the Veendam - but NOT Mexican food.

That is a nice creation on the bed the guys made. That is a late time for a Mexican buffet, it sounds like the Taco Bell 4th meal!
